The anniversary gift and a new hobby/ obsession

Hi everybody out there in blog land!! well this is my very first post and I was just sitting here wondering how to start it and decided that I should probably just introduce myself. My name is Teresa and I live in sunny Florida . I decided to start blogging as a way to share my faith, my auction and thrift store finds and last but certainly not least, my new dollhouse hobby!! So having said that I decided to share with you in this post how this dollhouse thing started. Now I have always had a love for decorating real houses and my husband being the sweet man that he is, thought it would be a good idea to buy me a dollhouse for Christmas last year, but when I saw the prices at the dollhouse store, I told him that it was way to expensive and I loved the thought, but just forget it. Well Christmas had passed and we were coming up on valentines day, which happens to be our anniversary and would you believe it ? There at our favorite auction house sat a huge dollhouse!! Of course He bought it for me, at a fantastic price I might add, and the rest as they say is history. A new passion is born!! If only that man had known how this would blossom and what he was getting into, hee hee, to late now!
So having given this rather long and laborious introduction, I'd like to show you a couple of pictures of the valentine residence ,located at 214 Anniversary lane.  Dr. Conrad Valentine and his lovely wife Victoria, reside here with their two daughters Elizabeth and baby Darla. Victoria's parents, Emma and Seth Hart are also staying here until their residence is complete ( more about this another time) there is also Sadie the cook, Annie the nanny, Abigail the house keeper, no one has seen Mr. Dobbs the butler, but he exists, just have to find that man( on ebay that is) OK I really am going to show you pictures. There will be more pictures and many tales in the future, but this is just a quick peek. some things have been added since these pictures were taken as you'll see in future posts. hope you enjoy! Love and blessings to all, till next time.

    1. Hi Carol,
Thanks so much for stopping by. The whole Valentine household has been wondering where that butler is, especially Abigail the house keeper, I distinctly heard her say that if that man thinks she's doing her work and his too, then he's got another think coming! hee hee, check back in for the rest of the story. till next time, blessings

  6. Hi Teresa, Love the post and look forward to following. But hope I get a chance to see in person these doll houses and how you decorated them. And I think there's a real good chance of that since I am family after all. Life has a way of separating us all, but I look forward to seeing you soon.
